Is it a crow or a raven?

Your guess is as good as mine. Let’s just say these are my new corvid earrings in sterling silver. They’ll be featured in my work at the Holiday Art & Gift Show at Trail’s End Art Association this weekend in Gearhart. I’ve recently become aware that there are a lot of corvid lovers out there and I thought it would be fitting to include them in my latest collection of sterling silver jewelry.

Corvidae is a family of birds that contains the crows, ravens, rooks, magpies, jackdaws, jays, treepies, choughs, and nutcrackers. Birds are an important part of our lake house experience. On my first visit to this property, I was acutely aware of the multitude of bird songs. The birds sounded so happy here and I continue to enjoy their melodies on a daily basis. The stellar’s jays visit our feeding perch in large numbers every day of the year. We were also honored with the presence of several ravens who would come and feed here regularly for a while.
